I must say, Lily Allen has really disappointed me. I mean, yes, she's annoying as hell and has a big mouth, but I really thought that she was not one to fall into the traps of the glamorous size zero world of skinny people. However, it turns out that what I thought was an (somewhat arrogant but down-to-earth) authentic attitude was just spite. Turns out Lily used to make her well-known comments that targeted...well, pretty much everyone from Amy Winehouse to Cheryl Cole to President Bush just because she was unhappy with herself and her looks and needed to vent her frustration.

"As I am happier, I can't bring myself to bitch," she says. "I find myself jumping to people's defense. I saw Paris Hilton on the David Letterman show and I was like, 'Why is he so horrible to her?'" Oh, really, that almost brings tears to my eyes. Darling Lily - just because she went to a hypnosis specialist and slimmed down to a dress size eight, I'm not sure she was automatically granted the right to become the world's largest hypocrite. However, if you take a look at the photos attached to this article, you'll see that Lily's photoshopped self tells a completely different story.

The singer doesn't mind her body being photoshopped, but it seems that she does have a thing against showing the world her slimmed down pretty naked self. "I really want to explore the acting route more, but nothing which involves me taking my clothes off. I don't want to go down that route like a lot of aspiring young actresses do. I just want to do proper cool stuff. I definitely feel the time is right to explore acting". Yes, well, I think I'll be starting a poll very soon. I bet you she'll do Playboy in a year. Who's with me?
And the funny thing is that now that she's managed to slim down, Lily has taken to having a go at - surprise - those celebrities who are slimmer than she is. I'm sure I've said it before, but the mind of a celebrity sure acts in mysterious ways. "It does make me laugh to see pictures of Victoria Beckham on the front of a magazine", she says. "I think, 'You are not promoting anything, you don't need the money, so all it's about is being famous. And I can never imagine my life being about being famous. I make music, that's what I am here for. I would never go out and court publicity. I am in such a good place, it wouldn't occur to me". Modesty, as I might have mentioned before, also seems to vanish along with the extra poundage.
