Lily Allen is a mommy. After two heartbreaking miscarriages, the British singer, who tied the knot with her beau in June this year, has given birth to a healthy baby girl, it has emerged.

Neither Lily nor husband Sam Cooper has yet confirmed the happy news, but Twitter is already buzzing with congratulations from friends of the family.

As People magazine points out, that's the most confirmation Lily's fans need.

“Lily Allen has a new reason to smile. The pop star and her husband, Sam Cooper, welcomed their first child, a girl, on Friday, according to various reports. And the well-wishers are already chiming in,” the celebrity magazine writes.

“sending out love to lily, sam and mini cooper…… YES,” Sam Chew, a friend of the singer, wrote on Twitter.

Charlie Condou, another friend, also congratulated the happy couple, telling his followers that they had a baby girl. No word yet on how Lily and Sam will name her.

“Allen, 26, wed Cooper, a painter and decorator, in Gloucestershire, England, last June, when she revealed she was expecting her bundle of joy. She has also since taken his last name,” People further says.

Before meeting Sam, Lily's personal life was marred by tragedy. She miscarried a child in January 2008 and, shortly afterwards, broke up from her boyfriend at the time.

She started dating Sam, whom she often described as the exact opposite of anyone she's ever gone out with, often talking about the possibility of marrying him and starting a family with him.

In 2010, Lily announced that she was pregnant, telling the world she would finally see her dreams of motherhood come true.

She miscarried after being diagnosed with a viral infection, with just 3 months until her due date.

In June 2011, Lily and Sam tied the knot in a gorgeous ceremony in England. Her wedding dress (pictured) revealed hints of a baby bump: after the ceremony, the singer confirmed she was indeed expecting.
