Release notes alert on stability and functionality problems

The stable release for Lightroom 4 has been released, and the most notable of the features is extracting more details from captures taken in dark and bright environments.

Enhanced video support available in this release allows you to play, trim and extract the frames from clips shot with DSLRs, point-and-shoot cameras and smartphones. Video-specific presets and standard adjustment options can be applied to the clips.

On the downside, third-party issues are present in this release. Such is the case with Norton Antivirus 2012, which incorrectly flags video-related program files in Lightroom 4 as possible threats. Users with McAfee Virus Scan installed won’t be able to send emails from the program. In both cases, setting exclusions should solve the problems.

Another important issue is crashing when printing to PDF in Windows 7. Lowering the resolution of the PDF in the print driver can help mitigate this.
