14 DAY TRIAL // Square Enix has released a new trailer for the upcoming Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, showcasing the improved action-oriented battle system.
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is the third and final installment in the FFXIII mini-series, wrapping up the Nova Chrysalia saga.
The main change in the upcoming games lies with the battle system, the player having complete control over Lightning and being able to evade enemy hits and perform devastating attacks, overwhelming and staggering foes, all in real time.
The trailer, titled “Evolution of Battle,” illustrates how strategy, customization and reflexes, along with learning how your enemies fight, will prove to be instrumental in emerging victorious on the battlefield.
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is scheduled to launch in February, for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 console systems, as well as for digital download on the PlayStation Network.
The collector's edition will only be available in limited quantities, and will be sold exclusively through Square Enix's online store.
