Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is the third installment in the FFXIII mini-series, concluding the action role-playing game saga of the Fabula Nova Crystallis.
The guide is created by Piggyback, and comes in two varieties, the Standard one and the Collector's Edition one, both available for preorder on the Square Enix website.
The Standard Strategy Guide comes with 352 illustrated pages of strategy and walkthroughs, with a giant map covering the entirety of the Nova Chrysalia world, and two beautiful ribbon bookmarks.
The Collector's Edition Strategy Guide has an extra 32 pages and exclusive features, a soft dust jacket and hard cover, as well as a new Schema for Lightning: Art of War, consisting of a new garb, weapon, ability, finishing move and bonus magic resist.
All secrets and unlockables are covered in the guide, every New Game+ bonus, all the Achievements and Trophies are listed and explained, in a special Extras chapter.
The guides provide ample walkthroughs covering all the Main and Side Quests, and the Strategy and Analysis section will explain how to use the game's key systems and features to their fullest.
The Bestiary and Inventory section lists all enemies, garbs, shields, weapons, accessories, items and shops that players will find in-game, offering all the information needed for a complete progression.
The guides are carefully designed, as not to impede with the play experience by unnecessarily spoiling key story elements, and it covers both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII.
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will show up in the West in February 2014, after making its debut in Japan in November last year. The game will be available on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms.
