14 DAY TRIAL // Square Enix announced that the collector's edition of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will be available at launch. The game is scheduled to launch on February 11, 2014.
The premium package will include a silver embossed pocket watch and a downloadable content code for Aerith Gainsborough's Midgar's Flower Girl outfit, based on the original Final Fantasy VII incarnation of the heroine.
The premium edition will come in special premium packaging collector box, featuring brand new artwork, and will include an 80-page hardcover art album featuring exclusive high quality game-themed illustration.
The art album will be wrapped in a dust jacket featuring Character Designer Tetsuya Nomura's original artwork. Inside the book, players will find early sketches of the characters, a foreword by Final Fantasy XIII series Art Director Isamu Kamikokuryo, and an introspective look at the worlds and architecture of the Nova Chrysalia universe as well as the massive amounts of monsters within the game.
This particular offer is exclusive for North America and other regions' editions may have differing content.
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will be available starting February 11 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and for digital download on the PlayStation Network, for a suggested retail price of $60 / €43.
The collector's edition will be available in limited quantities for both platforms and will be sold exclusively on Square Enix's online store, going for $90 / €65.
Limited quantities of the premium edition of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII are also available for preorder, exclusively through the Square Enix Online Store.
The series has been wildly popular since its initial title release in 2010, selling more than an aggregate 10 million copies all around the world.
