Although its upcoming 4G LTE network seems to interfere with GPS frequencies, LightSquared continues to strike new deals and raise fund to finance its network.

The latest company to sign a multi-year agreement with LightSquared is called InterGlobe Communications, which is a New-York based company that focuses on providing dial tone, local and long distance services, as well as toll free and Internet access at considerable savings.

Terms of the multi-year agreement were not disclosed, but LightSquared will be InterGlobe's main 4G LTE wireless broadband and satellite network provider for the next few years.

InterGlobe Communications is primarily serving the New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania region.

The partnership with LightSquared helps fulfill our commitment to provide customized solutions that are tailored to the very demanding needs of our clients,” said Al Mayerhoff, president of InterGlobe Communications.

Under agreement, InterGlobe will add high-speed mobile data and satellite services to its range of business communications solutions that include VoIP, high-speed Internet, video teleconferencing and IP telephony services.

With access to LightSquared’s 4G-LTE and satellite services, we have an opportunity to offer competitive mobile data service options that meet our clients’ need for speed, mobility and network resiliency,” added Mayerhoff.

According to LightSquared, the partnership is an important step toward its expansion of mobile services to additional regional markets in United States.

Given the fact that InterGlobe is mainly focusing on business customers, the demand for superior data transfer speeds will certainly be very high.

We are excited to partner with this well-established integrated service provider. This partnership represents an important step toward making the latest generation of mobile services available to a significant and growing customer segment for LightSquared,” said Sanjiv Ahuja, chairman and chief executive officer of LightSquared.

A few more deals like this one and LightSquared will get the upper hand over Clearwire, which is still struggling to raise money to finance its LTE network, which needs additional funding.
