14 DAY TRIAL // LightSquared and AirTouch Communications have just announced they have signed a new multi-year wholesale agreement.
According to LightSquared, AirTouch is the 15th partner that signed an agreement with the company in order to expand or develop new mobile services, devices as well as applications.
However, AirTouch will be the first device manufacturer that will sell wireless connectivity over LightSquared’s network, along with its own developed communications devices.
AirTouch Communications is a well-known manufacturer of telecommunications device that offers various services including voice, data, video and traditional landline.
“With LightSquared’s wholesale-only business model, we can not only provide wireless connectivity to existing customers, but we are now able to tap new revenue streams while generating additional value for our customers and shareholders,” said Hide Kanakubo, CEO, AirTouch.
Under agreement, AirTouch will offer its own branded wireless connectivity using LightSquared network.
In addition, customers who purchase AirTouch Communications products will be able to sign up for wireless connectivity for purchased devices.
Furthermore, the agreement allows AirTouch Communications to offer its devices through LightSquared’s other wholesale partners.
