Building on a successful demo at this month's CTIA wireless press event in Las Vegas, NV, RoadComm.com has recently made available
its LifeInPocket mobile suite to consumers.

LifeInPocket is the first downloadable mobile phone application/services platform that transforms lightweight cell phones into a laptop-like multitasking heavyweight all the while maintaining mobility.

Free of charge, LifeInPocket will upgrade nearly all existing and future cell phones with a greater array of functionality than the iPhone. Those features include GPS, navigation, location messaging, friends/family locator, and much more.

With little or no learning curve, no hardware or software to buy, and no binding contracts, LifeInPocket effectively transcends the iPhone and its rivals. LifeInPocket's interoperability, such as messaging, PDF/Word/picture email attachments, financial management, social networking, document viewing, bible, flight/hotel price search and location messaging make it nothing less than a home office that fits in your shirt pocket.

Besides maps, weather, PIM, and web browser, LifeInPocket offers GPS/address-based directory with more than 14 million points of interest (POIs). Even more significant is the turn-by-turn navigation prompts with voice guidance. That modality allows for far safer eyes/hands-free navigation.

Unlike iPhone's limited sync capability, LifeInPocket enables address book sync/import/export with Yahoo!, Gmail, MSN, Hotmail, Outlook Express, Palm Desktop, and many more. The user can one-click on those synced contacts to "call", "mail" and "navigate" on their phone. The ones with or without GPS are all supported.

LifeInPocket can easily upgrade a regular cellphone into a powerful, top-of-the-line smart phone. Currently all LifeInPocket products and services are available to subscribers free of charge.

I was in their rev. 0,42 private beta test for 6 months. At 0.42, it was already a very attractive produc which outperform paid GPS/navigation services, this new release is just amazing.

All my friends are using its location message and we rarely use SMS anymore. It's a new generation of messaging and SMS is just useless comparing with this.
