Life Record Inc. has released Life Record EMR Version 4.0, the latest version of its Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software for Mac, iPhone and PC. The latest additions include SMS messaging, in-lobby enrollment, real-time patient updates, full access to medical records right on your iPhone, and support for multi-dimensional DICOM images. Physicians can now prescribe drugs electronically. "InLobby Enrollment" is a feature that allows you to put Macs or the iPhone / iPod Touch in your lobby. Patients fill out all of their information electronically, eliminating the need for the medical staff to enter it manually.

Patients using the same click interface can go home and view their entire medical history including imaging, labs, and more, right from their Mac, PC, iPhone or iPod Touch, as soon as a physician issues a code to the patient.

There's much more to Life Record EMR Version 4.0, of course:

"Sporting features such as SMS-Touch integration with the iPhone for instant access to medical records via SMS messaging for the iPhone, built in Dictation and Transcription Management, turnkey billing solutions for ALL insurance carriers..." Dictation and transcription management is now built-in. Life Record has even added intelligent templates that help doctors with the treatment, billing and diagnosis of patient illness, making Life Record EMR 4.0 the most advanced Life Record EMR today.

All modules (billing, transcription, iPhone, intelligent LifePax) are included for the single baseline price, according to Life Record. "The Life Record EMR places medical records in the palm of your hand with a level of interaction with your staff and patients never before possible. Utilizing technologies developed by Life Record Inc. and the innovative unsurpassed interface of the iPhone - there is no better solution for managing your patient records."

Life Record is a Web-based record-keeping system, which means it requires a web browser, such as Safari, to work.
