The Document Foundation has announced that the second Beta version for LibreOffice 4.2.0 is now available for the Linux platform.

The developer has said that, starting with version 4.2.0, the LibreOffice installer files have a new naming scheme.

According to the changelog, the WMF rendering has been fixed, the DOCX/RTF import has been improved, the GTK non-Latin keyboard layout with Latin shortcuts has been fixed, UI scaling can now go up to 400%, a 2D vs. 3D coordinate system regression has been fixed, and the ODF import has been repaired.
