The Document Foundation has released LibreOffice 4.1.4 RC1, the first of many updates to come in a new development cycle aimed at improving one of the best office suites available on Mac, Windows, and Linux computers.

LibreOffice 4.1.4 RC1 is a post-beta release candidate which packs a lot of fixes and tweaks, all of which you can check out in the official release notes.

There’s nothing in there worth discussing at large, but for those keeping a close eye on the development of the suite, there might be one or two code alterations that pique your interest.

LibreOffice 4.1 is the most recent stable version of the software and packs a range of new features and improvements, such as collaboration tools, themes, and interoperability.

As usual, the requirements are 512 MB of RAM, up to 1.5 GB available hard disk space, and a 1024 x 768 screen resolution. Download LibreOffice 4.1.4 RC1 or the latest stable build from Softpedia today.
