The Seattle Public Library has managed to break a record in order to promote their summer program.

Officials set out to break the record for longest book domino chain in the world, and, according to Inky Girl, they succeeded. The Library has thus launched its campaign for summer reading.

Straight.com mentions that it took 2 college students and 27 volunteers to break the record on May 31. They weren't able to do it in the first run, and in the end it took five attempts to build the gigantic domino.

The raw ended up including 2,131 books. It was put together inside the library building on 1000 4th Ave., Seattle, Washington. The Guinness Book of World Records still has to confirm the success of the attempt.
