HBO’s “Behind the Candelabra” with Michael Douglas and Matt Damon as Liberace and his lover Scott Thorson was a hit with critics and fans alike, so it’s no wonder the real Thorson, on whose book it was based, is doing whatever he can to stay in the spotlight.

In a recent interview with The Sun, Thorson claims that he also had a long affair with the late King of Pop Michael Jackson.

Thorson says that Liberace forced him to get plastic surgery to look more like him because he wanted to throw off the press on the real nature of their relationship, by saying they were father and son.

He also claims that the famous musician threw him out of the house when he became addicted to cocaine when he was the first to put him on a pharmaceutical cocaine diet to lose weight.

Sometime before that happened, Thorson also engaged in an affair with Michael Jackson, he claims.

“Liberace introduced me and Michael in the late 1970s. It was right around the time Thriller was coming out and Michael and I became lovers,” he says.

“Our relationship went on for six or seven years, Michael was very generous, too. He treated me well,” he continues.

Thorson goes into the details of their first romantic encounter, saying it “lasted about an hour.” He doesn’t explain why the alleged relationship ended.

However, he does have a few words for Michael Douglas and Matt Damon, of whom he believes they should have bailed him out when he was put away for burglary, because they were working on a movie that would have never happened without him.

“Hollywood turned its back on me. Matt Damon or Michael Douglas would not bail me out, even though I offered to talk to them about the film,” he says.

In the same interview, Thorson clearly says he’s gay. Oddly enough, back in 2002, when he spoke to Larry King on his CNN show (video below), he insisted he was not gay, just confused.

At the time, he explained his relationship with Liberace by saying he’d been young and foolish, and the musician took advantage of that to do with him as he pleased.
