One is for micro-ATX motherboards, the other for mini-ITX ones

Since mini PCs can have a performance greater than that of many normal systems, and as high as that of some gaming desktops, there is a strong demand for cool miniature cases. Lian Li decided to release a pair.

Called PC-V359 and PC-Q36, the two cases are made for micro-ATX and mini-ITX motherboard-based systems, respectively.

The key advantage they have over other small form factor cases is their modularity. You can remove the top panel, for example, with just a twist of four thumbscrews, and slide off the side panels immediately after.

The 3.5-inch drive cage can be pulled out as well (also held by thumb screws), and so can the front panel. Even the back panel can be unslid from its support.

There's a slim optical bay at the bottom of the front panels of both cases, plus USB 3.0 ports and HD audio connectors on the front panel. They otherwise have differing component support.

The PC-V359 gets VGA cards up to 320 mm (12.6 inches) in length and CPU coolers up to 160 mm (6.3 inches) in height, while the PC-Q36 supports video boards of 300 mm (11.8 inches) and CPU coolers of 170 mm (6.7 inches).

Sadly, the prices of the Lian Li Micro-ATX PC-V359 and Mini-ITX PC-Q36 are still unknown.
