Can you believe that Liam Neeson is still trying to find people in his family that mysteriously keep getting kidnapped, despite the fact that he's a retired CIA agent who just happens to be very good at finding kidnapped people?

Neither can Liam Neeson, that's why he's pulling the plug on the franchise. In an interview with USA Today, the actor confirmed that he would not be appearing in further movies from the “Taken” franchise, after he's already done three movies.

The third film is set to hit cinemas on January 9 and the plot is that this time he's going to be the hunted one, as he is framed for the murder of someone close to him and forced to run from the law. “I have to go on the run, I'll put it that way, from the not-so-lawful types and the lawful authorities,” the actor says.

He adds that “Taken” is “a rollicking good story, But I think this is the end.” A reason for that is that Neeson feels he's getting on in years, and he doesn't want fans pointing fingers at him “If I pick up that vibe it will all stop. And I'll start playing dads or grandfathers.”

Fans of the franchise will surely be disappointed.
