14 DAY TRIAL // In response to the countless reports that emerged online late last week about how Miley Cyrus had called off the wedding to Liam Hemsworth because she suspected him of cheating, comes a little piece in People saying that they’re still together.
However, he did fly all the way to Australia to take a break from her, insiders close to the couple say for the celebrity publication.
Miley and Liam are still together in the sense that they did not break up and they did not call off the wedding; at the same time, they’re on a break until they decide what’s next.
“Miley is still upset with Liam. She took the ring off to make him mad. It doesn't mean that they have split. Miley says they are still together,” says the source speaking of the photos that emerged last week, of Miley without her engagement ring.
“Liam did fly home [to Australia on March 1] so they could have a break,” the insider goes on to say, adding that he’s spending some time with his equally famous (if not actually more) brother Chris.
As for what could have led to this time off in the romance, the source believes it might have something to do with how obstinate they both are, which would inevitably lead to heated arguments.
“Miley is crazy about Liam, but sometimes doesn't treat him great. She likes things her way and tends to play games. Liam is also a strong person and that's why they often butt heads,” notes the tipster.
Reports of a breakup first started to emerge when the two were spotted on the Oscars party circuit separately and picked up when Liam was photographed leaving a party in the same cab as actress January Jones.
From that to speculation that they were having a fling was but a step and, next thing you know, Miley was out and about, taking zero measures to cover her ring-less engagement finger.
