Is it just me, or is LiLo going about things the wrong way? I mean, yes, I know that now that she's out of rehab she's going to get piled high with offers and advice and free sympathy - but I think it's very funny someone actually considered her for the role of a Playboy bunny. LiLo has been offered the chance to appear in the new biopic of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner - but it all comes with a twist: she has to stay sober. And there's another funny side to it - is it just me, or is she going backwards? I mean, she played a stripper in "I Know Who Killed Me" - and next to that, the Playboy bunny routine looks pretty tame.
The director of the movie is called Brett Ratner, and he apparently loves LiLo to death. "She is very talented - if she is sober. She would be great as a Playboy Bunny" he stated. And yes, LiLo is getting the "Britney Spears" star treatment, which basically means that for a while, if she plays her cards right, she will be able to get away with almost anything. It's amazing how many second chances you get when you're fresh out of rehab and you've been releasing a long series of mainly hypocritical statements about how you have seen the error of your ways and repented. Don't get me wrong - I totally believe in repenting and sobering up (both literally and figuratively) but I become very suspicious when the healing process is tossed in our faces like that, almost saying "see what I can do? See how good I am?"
And the fact is, LiLo is getting that right now - photo shoots, interviews, job offers. Maybe that's the key to having a successful career - Demi Moore should try getting addicted to drugs and when she finishes rehab, the job offers simply won't stop. Same goes for Victoria Beckham, who also seems to be resorting to increasingly ridiculous ways of keeping herself in the news. But LiLo is a natural - she's got what it takes, and she won't be going away from Hollywood any time soon.
Even directors who in the past slammed her as "discourteous, irresponsible and unprofessional" (and I'm talking here about James Robinson who worked with her on "Georgia Rule") seem to be crawling back asking for forgiveness - kidding - want her back. "I would absolutely work with her again", said Robinson. "I'd treat her like one of my own kids. She has all this fame and no one in her family to reel her in, no one to guide her, and one thing led to another. She is very, very talented and was never a diva on the set".
Yes, well, just as I was telling you - all of a sudden, everybody loves Lindsay Lohan. But you do know that the direct side effect of this overly-permissive attitude will be that LiLo will once again get the sense that she is all-powerful and above the law, and we all know where that road leads. Hopefully not. Better stick with the fluffy pink tail and pink ears.
