The development team at Paradox Interactive working on Leviathan: Warships introduces some of the core mechanics of the naval battle game in the first development diary, which also shows two new images.

The new game will use two phases, one for planning and another for action.

During the first phase, gamers will be able to issue orders to their ships and manually set targets for the weapons they can use.

Once all players are committed, the Leviathan: Warships engine calculates the results and the action sequence shows the result of the movements and shots fired.

Gamers can switch between any number of games at the same time and they also have the option of setting a timer for the planning phase, according to the development team.

Leviathan: Warships is set to launch during the second quarter of the year on the PC and on tablets using both iOS and Android.
