Many women complain about how they aren’t able to find a pair of jeans that fit, regardless of the fact that they’re exactly the same size as the pair they’re trying on. Levi’s is coming out with a new range of jeans that promises to fit every body type out there.

As many fashion blogs point out, teens seem to have no problem finding the right pair of jeans but the story is an entirely different one when we’re talking about women.

Some of them even say that buying a new pair of jeans is nothing short of an expensive exercise in self-loathing, as they try on an average of 10 pairs before actually finding the one that suits and looks good on them.

Motivated by the need to cater for all women and not just model-size ones, Levi’s has worked closely with researchers and come up with three body types that account for 80% of women, TV.com informs.

“Interestingly, utilizing 60,000 body scans of women living in 13 different countries, scientists worked with Levi Strauss & Co to analyze and understand the curves of the woman’s body by looking, in part, at the hip to seat placement,” the e-zine says of the extensive research Levi’s did.

Only after this was the company able to come up with the Curve ID line of jeans, which promises answers to all women looking to find the right pair.

“According to reps for the brand, Levi Strauss & Co are looking to release their Curve ID Extreme Curve fit jean ‘at the end of this year or the beginning of next year,’ which will account for an additional 16% of women with curves,” TV.com says.

If further clarification is needed, this is not a plus-size collection but rather one that aims to cater for women with regular body sizes, those who struggle to find a pair of jeans that fits right.

“Curve ID Slight Curve: You’ll want to try the Curve ID Slight Curve fit if ‘your jeans fit in the hips and thighs but is too tight at the waist’,” the aforementioned e-zine says of the first type of body.

Lucy Liu would be the celebrity Levi’s uses to illustrate the “slight” body type. For the following two, consider Charlize Theron for the “demi” and Beyonce or Jennifer Lopez for the “bold” type.

“Curve ID Demi Curve: You’ll want to try the Curve ID Demi Curve fit if ‘your jeans don’t flatter your curves, but usually fit in the waist’,” TV.com writes.

And, finally, for the third type: “Curve ID Bold Curve: You’ll want to try the Curve ID Bold Curve fit if ‘your jeans fit in the hips and the thighs, but gap in the back’.”

Levi’s says the new line will drop this year or early next year at the latest, with prices that should send shivers down competitors’ spine. Available in various colors and washes, jeans will range from $102 to $121, way cheaper than designer jeans.
