The two-year feud between the two socialites and budding singers is about to come to an end... and on live TV! David Letterman, America's most beloved TV host announced his intention of getting the two girls together and making them bury the hatchet.

Although currently starring together in a new season of their reality show, 'The Simple Life', Paris and Nicole still refuse to be on the same set together or to see each other during the shoot. Their feud is as deep as their friendship was close and even their friends have taken sides.

Nobody knows exactly why the two blondies grew apart, but it is supposed that Nicole might have caused the rift by playing Paris' sex tape during a party. Richie denied the rumor at the time and said that, after coming out of rehab she felt as if she couldn't hang out with Miss Hilton anymore because she was a bad influence.

Paris, on the side, refused to make any comments (surprising, isn't it?) and, referring to Nicole, said only that 'she knows what she did'. But she did imply that the daughter of the famous soul artist, Lionel Richie, was jealous of her fame and good looks.

Anyway, all that will belong to the past once Letterman gets his way. The show is scheduled for September and the two girls already confirmed their presence on the set. It will probably be the most watched one ever in the history of 'The Late Show With David Letterman', as millions of people will tune in to see a good old celebrity fight. Ladies and gentlemen, let the bitchin' begin!
