Who wants a black and white icon pack in Windows 10?

A few days ago, we asked you to tell us your opinion on the new icons that are part of Windows 10 build 10125. At first glance, it's hard to decide whether Microsoft made the right choice with this new design because some like it, some don't, and few don't seem to care.

But what's more interesting is that it seems that Microsoft has another ace up its sleeve in the form of black and white icons that have been recently spotted in an unreleased version of Windows 10.

In fact, Microsoft has never said a single thing about these icons, so the screenshots you see here might actually be with a version of Windows 10 that Microsoft is using for live demos, so there's no sign that they would be implemented in a public version of the operating system at some point in the future.

And yet, they certainly look intriguing and many seem to like them, so why not bring them to users? Microsoft could thus offer more options for those who don't want to settle with the default icons and thus address the criticism aimed at its new icons.

New icons for Microsoft Edge and the Windows Store

As you can see in these two screenshots, both the new Microsoft Edge browser and the Windows Store have black and white icons, so if there's indeed a new pack designed by the company, it's incomplete, so additional work might be needed.

We can go on with speculation forever on this new icon pack, so the best choice is to wait and see whether Microsoft is indeed planning to go for a black and white scheme or not.

So in the meantime, it's a good idea to make ourselves heard and help Microsoft decide. Do you like these black and white icons? Is it a good idea to see them offered with Windows 10? Post your answers in the comment box after the jump.
