Sprint worked hard on finding a new solution for making the lives of their customers a great deal easier. It seems as they found shopping to be their greatest problem, as they decided to introduce a service that will help them find the right products from the best producers at the most convenient price.

As not to get the post-purchase remorse, mobile phone users might need some help in efficiently emptying their wallet. Sprint's solution is called Slifter. This software allows items to save as a shopping list that they can also share with friends and families easily.

Slifter uses GPS technology in order to find nearby shops that currently hold the desired product in stock. All that the user has to do is to enter a keyword, product name, model number or UPC code in order to find the product that they need. Sprint GPS immediately returns the closest possible retailers which are identified in the area. Slifter's database holds more than 85 million products in more than 30,000 stores across US.

"With Slifter from GPShopper, Sprint customers can use their phones to find the closest retailer to purchase a desired item, without needing to check a phone book, Internet listing or map", said George Ranallo, director of wireless data applications for Sprint. Moreover, "Sprint's industry-leading GPS applications make everyday tasks like shopping easier for our customers by providing relevant information when and where they need it".

"Sprint, the leading distributor of GPS-enabled applications, and Slifter are revolutionizing the shopping experience by empowering consumers to use their mobile phones to find information on products and promotions at local retailers", said PShopper founder and CEO Alex Muller.

Slifter can be downloaded and costs only USD2 every month as a service subscription. Aside this, standard Internet use charges add to the cost of using this program.
