A new, improved version

A new version of mChat for Windows Mobile is now available. This means more improved solutions for mobile communication, just in order for users to have where to choose from.

MChat, together with gsICQ and Mail.ru, are of Russian origin and provide reliable applications using the .NET Compact Framework. This means that mobile phones will be able to support high quality games and applications from the IBE Group.

Important to know, mChat supports ICQ, Jabber and Mail.ru's messaging server. Moreover, it also has Cyrillic language support, which makes a difference for the Russian part of the world.

MChat also brings a series of options that make textual communication through the mobile phone a whole lot easier. Actually, the program offers the enhancements of a normal PC Chat program, only much simplified and easier to use on the screen of a small device. Thus, mChat v2.2 is capable of storing all conversations that take place on a specific device in order to keep track of the conversations and of their subject.

The v2.2 version has brought some important updates to mChat. Now, it has a new Jabber protocol, data compression and it is also capable of supporting multi user conferences. Aside the Jabber protocol, it also features an experimental MSN one. Moreover, there are also some ICQ changes. This means that statuses can be added and used in a much easier way and also that the ICQ clients can be identified faster.

The mChat interface offers many options for customizing its appearance and also for making conversations much more personal. With this thought in mind, the producers of mChat v2.2 gave to the program's users the possibility of redesigning the interface and also to use animated smileys in order to express their emotions and reactions. All these features bring this Windows Mobile program closer to the familiar and friendly environment offered by any other PC based chats.
