Leshcat has just released a new UnifL Catalyst graphics driver. This was expected, since AMD's Catalyst Graphics Driver 13.12 was launched yesterday.

The “Major Changelog” mentions driver versions present in this package. These are 13.251.0.0000 for AMD's GPU, 8.15.10.2987 for Intel legacy products, and 9.17.10.3347 and 10.18.10.3355 for the modern ones, 7.12.0.7717, 8.0.0.8814, and 9.0.0.9903 for AMD HDMI audio.

The “Minor Changelog” debuts by mentioning the preserved ability to install UnifL on AMD+AMD Laptops (units with integrated and discrete GPUs from AMD). Another improvement are the optimizations for DirectX 9 applications that are included in the package.

The CCC (Catalyst Control Center) memory leak issue is now fixed, and the locked apps in CCC should now be free (although this requires a clean installation).

Generation 1 and 2 Intel Models get another improvement on the “Black Screen” issue. Hopefully, this fixes the situation.

This release is not from AMD, so treat it with caution and install it only if you understand exactly what it does. Also, make sure you check the manual before starting the installation.
