DSE (Test Mode) must be activated before the actual installation

Leshcat has just released a new version for its UnifL series drivers, the Catalyst 13.9 WHQL Public Testing. The name may seem a bit paradoxical, but Leshcat explains it like this: “due to currently unresolvable certification issues, this set comes with Test Certificate signed drivers. Therefore, DSE (Test Mode) must be activated before actual installation.

The package will check for DSE presence but, if it doesn't find it, it will ask you and then install it automatically.

New with this release is the UnifL Autoinstaller which will help you with the setup process. If you prefer the manual mode, you must know that the installation order is with the Intel driver first, followed by the AMD one.

Inside the package there is AMD's graphics driver version 13.152.0.0000, Intel HD Graphics 9.18.10.3223 and 9.17.10.3304, and the AMD HDMI 7.12.0.7716 (for Windows 7), 8.0.0.8813 (for Windows 8) or 9.0.0.9902 (for Windows 8.1).

Leshcat strongly advises users to have a “pre-cleaned system” before installing. This means you should remove all previous driver versions for the specified components.

Bear in mind that this release is not from AMD or Intel, but from a developer. If there are any issues or malfunctions, do not hesitate to mention it on Leshcat's forum.
