Chinese handset manufacturer Lenovo has just announced the upcoming availability of two new mid-range Android smartphones, the S930 and S650.

Russian site Mobile-Review reports that Lenovo S930 and S650 smartphones will be available by the end of the year for $425 (€310) and $365 (€265), respectively.

They will be released in Russia this month, but it’s unclear whether Lenovo will bring these devices to other territories as well. Lenovo’s presence on the European market is still timid, although the company has announced plans to expand its business in Europe soon.

Back to the recently announced smartphones, Lenovo S930 is the better featured of the two and comes with a huge 6-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and 245ppi (pixel density).

The handset is powered by a MediaTek 6852 chipset that accommodates a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz, a Mali-400MP graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM.

Even though the S930 comes packed with only 8GB of internal memory, users will be able to further expand storage up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

On the back, the phablet sports an 8-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus and video recording, while in the front, there’s a secondary 1.6-megapixel camera for video calls.

It is also worth mentioning that the Lenovo S930 measures 170 x 86 x 8.65 mm and weighs 170g (battery included). Speaking of which, the device is powered by a high-capacity 3000 mAh Li-Ion battery.

The second Lenovo smartphone announced today, the S650, comes with a slightly smaller 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 540 x 960 pixels resolution.

On the inside, it comes equipped with a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

Lenovo plans to launch dual-SIM versions of both S930 and S650 smartphones, but it’s unclear when exactly they will be available for purchase. Stay tuned for more updates on these mid-range handsets.
