Soccer fans from all over the world saved up money to buy plane tickets for the FIFA World Cup 2014, which is now taking place in Sao Paulo in Brazil but, if you’re one of Hollywood’s biggest actors (and greatest players) like Leonardo DiCaprio, you can afford more than that. Well, you can actually afford way more than flying coach, that’s for sure.

The Oscar nominated actor has actually rented the world’s 5th largest private superyacht to travel to Brazil with 21 of his closest, probably mostly male friends. This circle of DiCaprio’s friends, who usually accompany him whenever he’s traveling for R&R purposes (i.e. to party) is usually referred by a phrase that we can’t actually reproduce here but suffice it to say that the first word can be used both as a synonym for “kitten” and for a female body part; the other is “posse.”

Now you can go ahead and imagine what goes down on that yacht.

Meanwhile, a bit more about it: AutoEvolution says that it’s called Topaz and was built in 2012 for Sheikh Mansour, the Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and the owner of Manchester City FC. Never say that DiCaprio is not well connected.

Topaz measures 482 feet (146 meters) and is believed to have set the Sheikh back “only” about £400 million ($678 million / €500.7 million). More technical details, if you’re into this kind of stuff, coming up.

“The luxury sea-going machine was constructed by Lurssen in Bremen, Germany, its interior being designed by Terence Disdale Design. […] It features a steel displacement hull, an aluminum superstructure and consists of eight floors. The main engines are two Pielstick diesel engines, each with power of 7990 hp making the yacht able to reach service speed of 22.9 knots (26mph), while the maximum speed is over 25.5 knots (28mph),” AutoEvolution says.

Apparently, DiCaprio and his pals will remain on the yacht during their stay in Brazil, except, of course, when the matches take place or when they’re doing touristy stuff.

No word yet on who’s traveling with him but we know one guy who isn’t there: young pop star Justin Bieber. A hilarious report that came out the other day said that Bieber saw DiCaprio in Cannes, during the Film Festival, at a private party and he instantly assumed that he would be only too eager to hang out with him.

So, he sent over his goon to ask him if he could sit with him, and was turned down in the most direct fashion. If there is any truth to this, Justin’s ego must still be bruising.

And the best part was this, as relayed by an inside source who claimed to have seen everything go down, “Justin was nodding and smiling in Leo’s direction, but Leo just shook his head no and waved him off. He thinks Justin’s a little twit. Leo doesn’t want or need photo ops with publicity-hungry, manufactured pop stars.” Oh burn!
