14 DAY TRIAL // It’s a known fact that Leonardo DiCaprio hates excessive media attention and that he’d do anything to limit exposure when he’s not promoting a new project and he’s not scheduled to make appearances or give interviews. A new report suggests he’s all the more wary about this when he’s partying.
Page Six reports that, over the weekend, DiCaprio happened to be at the same party as Paris Hilton and Brody Jenner, step-brother to the Kardashian sisters who is a more recent addition to the family reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians. The daytime party XIV Summer Sessions took place in Los Angeles and is famous for the fact that guests spray champagne on each other.
Brody was there DJ-ing, Paris was there to party, just like the Oscar-nominated actor. Brody was also accompanied by his brother and his father, Bruce Jenner, the latter also being a regular on the E!-produced series, and a camera crew.
Because he’s an A-lister, DiCaprio was informed of the presence of the camera crew before the party, and he refused to be shown on camera, saying he would arrive only after the crew left.
“Leo didn’t want to be filmed for ‘Keeping Up’ and didn’t want to arrive until filming was over,” an insider says for the celebrity publication, which adds that “Leo joined his close pal Lukas Haas and a group for a Mexican-themed party for Frankie Delgado.”
Even weirder is that Paris Hilton, who is known for always courting attention, also refused to be filmed for the series. For those who are aware of the bad blood between Paris and Kim Kardashian, this isn’t that surprising: the two were best friends at one point, with Kim becoming famous as Paris’ sidekick.
When Kim’s career exploded with the very convenient “leak” of her homemade tape with Ray J, she stopped hanging out with Paris, who continued to work as before, making reality shows, music, designing, and everything else you could possibly think of.
A couple of years back, there was some feuding between the two reality show mavens, as they made veiled comments about each other in various promo interviews. The bottom line is that Paris believes Kim would have been nothing without her, while Kim is convinced that the better woman has already won because, if Paris had been as great as she believes herself to be, she would have still been relevant. Oh, burn!
It seems that Paris still remembers this and will not allow Kim to make money off her by agreeing to be on her reality show.

Moreover, says an insider, DiCaprio seems to have a particular aversion for the Kardashian reality show because “The organizers know how Leo feels about cameras, so they gave him a heads up. He didn’t want to be filmed for the show, he wouldn’t have wanted to be filmed for anything, but especially not that one.”
