Leonardo DiCaprio is currently working on a film-length documentary.
The project of the activist actor, who established the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation in 1998 to raise awareness about environmental issues, will talk about the problems the planet faces and what people can do to save it.
THE AVIATOR star, who runs his own eco website leonardodicaprio.org, lobbied loudly for worldwide access to clean water and used a hybrid car to get to the Oscars, is very preoccupied with global environmental issues.
DiCaprio has teamed up financially with poker-playing legend DOYLE BRUNSON to make 11TH HOUR, which he will co-write and narrate.
"It was a no-brainer to team up with Leo on this film. I know we'll be able to raise a lot of awareness for an issue that plagues our world", Brunson told PageSix.com
He will also collaborate on "11th Hour" with Tree Media Group founders Lelia Conners Petersen and Nadia Conners to produce, co-write and narrate the film.
The actors' documentary is said to offer solutions for restoring the planet's ecosystems, according to spokesman Ken Sunshine.
"Global warming is not only the No. 1 environmental challenge we face today, but one of the most important issues facing all of humanity," DiCaprio said in a statement on Monday.
The film is slated for a late 2006 release.
