It’s been two years and some change since this particular British songbird won “The X Factor” show in her home country. Since then, Leona Lewis has sold over 5 million items of her first album ever, has conquered charts on both sides of the Atlantic and has earned more praises than she could have ever dreamed of. Now, we’ll be able to read about it all in her upcoming book.

The singer has just signed a deal with publishing house Hodder & Stoughton, and will release an autobiography shortly before her second album is expected to drop, meaning, sometime in October. According to official statements, the book will also include photos snapped by famed photographer Dean Freeman, who also worked with David Beckham. Whether Leona will resort to a ghost writer or will actually try to pen the book herself has not yet been made public, as neither have been the financial details of the deal.

“The last two years have been an unbelievable experience for me,” the 23-year-old singer told Billboard, referring to the reasons that prompted her to accept the offer from the publishing house. And she has done so in good reason, since her road to fame could be best described by the phrase “from rags to riches.”

“This will be the first time Leona tells her story of how ‘The X-Factor’ launched her from waitressing in Pizza Hut in Hackney [East London] to stardom on both sides of the Atlantic. It is a real-life fairytale and every girl’s dream.” Hodder editor Fenella Bates told the media about the marketing potential of Leona’s autobiography.

Since she broke on the scene, Leona Lewis has managed to conquer the hearts of audiences worldwide, becoming an acclaimed talented performer almost in a blink of the eye. Her first album, “Spirit,” climbed up the charts quickly, making the likes of Clive Davis, one of the most prominent figures in the music industry, proclaim her the next, modified and improved Whitney Houston. Clearly, this is one starlet we’d all love to read about.
