Lenovo introduced its new tablet offering dubbed Yoga, advertising the slate as the bringer of an unprecedented user experience. The tablet offers three modes of use: hold, tilt and stand with the help of a cylindrical hinge.

Now Lenovo has brought the tablet to Europe and we had the opportunity to get some hands-on time with it. Yoga is available in 8-inch and 10-inch versions, but we only got to play with the 8-incher.

The tablet is extremely light, slim and easily to handle, since the slate's powerhouse has been slipped inside the hinge. The same hinge allows users to firmly hold the tablet in portrait mode, just as they would be holding a book.

Lenovo has added 1.2GHz MT8125 quad-core processors (or MT8389 quad-core processors for 3G models) coupled with 1GB of RAM. Storage wise, there’s the possibility to choose between 16GB and 32GB of storage, both expandable to 64GB.

The 8-inch model we got to handle features a screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels which delivers crisp images while streaming video and viewing pictures. The slate proved to be responsive, but we would have liked to test it while playing a game.

Overall, the Yoga provided a satisfying user experience and it’s worth mentioning that the slate should supposedly provide up to 18 hours of battery life.
