A new Lenovo 2-in-1 will launch on the market

Lenovo recently pulled the veil off the new Yoga 3 convertible, which comes to replace the popular Lenovo Yoga 2.

The new 2-in-1 is one of the first machines to take advantage of an Intel Core M processor from the Broadwell lineup.

Like its predecessor, the Yoga 3 Pro retains the versatility we have been accustomed too. It can be used either as a notebook or tablet and boasts a new innovative aluminum hinge design.

The convertible Ultrabook Lenovo launched in the wild back in November took advantage of a 13.3-inch display offering 3200 x 1800 pixel resolution.

A smaller Lenovo Yoga convertible is on the way

However, if you’re not a fan of larger screens on your convertible, it appears you’ll soon be able to pick up a smaller version boasting an 11.6-inch IPS FHD display (meaning 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution).

The folks over at Mobile Geeks have managed to dig up a bunch of retail listings for the so-called Lenovo Yoga 11, as well as an FCC filling for the same device. Do you notice something missing there?

The “Pro” moniker seems to have disappeared into thin air and that’s apparently because the upcoming convertible will not be like the Yoga 3 Pro in terms of design.

The German Lenovo website even lists the Lenovo Yoga 3 11 on its page, but no extra information is available for the moment.

However, the retail listings seem to indicate Lenovo will be offering Core M 510c or Core M 5Y71 chip options with the smaller 2-in-1. Customers will also have the option of choosing between 4GB or 8GB in the RAM department or 128GB / 256GB of internal storage.

The convertible is expected to make a debut on the market with white and silver coloring options, so the popular orange paint-job is not the menu with the 11.6-incher.

The Lenovo Yoga 3 11 won't be too affordable

The Lenovo Yoga 3 11 should go on sale in Europe with prices ranging between €599 and €999 (between $742 to $1238).

In other words, don’t expect the new models to be super cheap. But for the money you will be getting a thin, light convertible with a long (ish) battery life.

When Lenovo pushed out the Yoga 3 Pro into the wild, it said the 2-in-1 will be capable of sustaining up to 9 hours of battery life. However, a few weeks after the launch, Lenovo slashed the battery life expectation of the Yoga 3 Pro to 7.5 hours.

It will be interesting to see how long the smaller Lenovo Yoga 11 manages to last.
