Lenovo will probably announce the convertible pretty soon

Not so long ago, we told you Lenovo was planning a smaller convertible model of the Yoga 3 Pro 2-in-1, which has recently launched on the market.

But back then, we didn’t know much about the upcoming product, except it was going to don an 11.6-inch display and run on the Broadwell chip platform.

Lenovo has yet to announce the device at the moment, but they did set up the product page on their official website, before taking it down abruptly.

Luckily for us, TabTec was there to save some of the images showing the product for the first time, so we can now share them with you.

The Lenovo Yoga 3 11 shows up in first real pictures

As you can see, the Lenovo Yoga 3 11 doesn’t come with the same fluid hinge design as the Yoga 3 Pro. The system utilized with this particular convertible seems more rigid, but you can still push the screen back at 360 degrees until it’s back-to-back with the keyboard and you can hold the device like a tablet.

Or you can rotate the screen and arrange it in Presentation mode, so it faces away from the lower part which bundles a keyboard.

Apart from the different hinge-design, the Lenovo Yoga 3 11 is a tad smaller than its 13.3-inch counterpart. It measures 11.4 x 7.8 x 0.6 inches / 289 x 198 x 15 mm and tips the scales at 2.6 lbs / 1.17 kg.

The Yoga 3 11 will go on sale with multiple variants

Lenovo will be putting up for sale at least three different models of the upcoming convertible, all taking advantage of the Broadwell architecture.

The first one will bundle an Intel Core M-5Y10C chip fitted with 4GB of RAM and 128GB SSD. A second one comes with the same processor, but has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, instead.

The third one takes advantage of a faster Core M-5Y71 CPU working in concert with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

All models offer 1920 x 1080 resolution displays and bundle 2 UBS 3.0 ports, micro HDMI output, SD card readers, and 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

According to the leaked information, the 2-in-1 will rely on a 34Wh battery which can provide the device with 6.5 hours of running time.

Since Lenovo hasn’t officially announced the convertible, we still have no idea what its price tag is going to be in the US.

However, if we’re to look at some European retail listings, the Lenovo Yoga 3 won’t come too cheap and you’ll have to take between €599 / €723 and €999 / €1,221 out of your pockets to grab one.
