A few days ago we told you that Lenovo was prepping a slew of smartphones which are to be unveiled at MWC 2015 in a week’s time.

Among them we found the Vibe X3, Vibe S1, Vibe P1, Vibe P1 Pro and Vibe Shot. All these handsets have at least one interesting feature, so they will be worth tracking down at the event.

Well, according to the folks at GSM Arena, Lenovo is also looking to introduce a phablet going by the name of Vibe Max, which might be interesting to consumers for a variety of reasons.

Lenovo is looking to implement a smart pen with its next phablet

The most prominent one is the fact that the Vibe Max will apparently arrive with a stylus pen called AnyPen.

If this name sounds familiar, that’s because it’s not the first time it pops up in relation to Lenovo. The technology was used in conjunction with Lenovo’s Windows-based Yoga 2 tablet, allowing users to pick up any utensil lying around the house and turn it into a tablet-friendly smart pen.

Basically, one could use an ordinary pen/pencil or even scissors or a fork. So, can we assume that the Vibe Max will allow for a similar setup?

The pen will probably bundle similar properties to those of Samsung’s S Pen, so the Vibe Max could actually provide some real competition to the Galaxy Note 4.

Preliminary Lenovo Vibe Max specs

Apart from the AnyPen tidbit, we’re also told that the Vibe Max will bring forth a hefty 6-inch display with 1440 x 2560 pixel (QHD) resolution, just like we expect the Galaxy S6 and HTC One M9 Plus to don.

On top of that, it’s revealed that the phone will come with a fingerprint sensor, NFC, and bundle a pretty large battery of 4,000 mAh capacity.

We wouldn’t be surprised if the phablet ended up boasting a Snapdragon 810 processor under the hood, but that’s just a guess.

Sadly, for the time being, we don’t have any real life images of the Lenovo Vibe Max, but in the meanwhile, you can take a look at Lenovo’s host of phones incoming for MWC 2015, which got leaked a while ago.

We’re certainly looking forward to see it in the wild in a few days.
