The list of devices that are supposed to receive an Android 4.0 upgrade in the near future has just grown by one, as Lenovo has recently announced that its ThinkPad Tablet will soon get an ICS port.

According to SlashGear, this is bound to happen in the second quarter of this year, which will hopefully give Lenovo enough time to iron out all the quirks that made their way in Asus’ Android 4.0 port for the Transformer Prime.

For those of you in need of a quick refresher, Lenovo’s business oriented ThinkPad Tablet was launched in July last year without a lot of fanfare, running Android 3.1 Honeycomb.

On the inside, Lenovo’s creation packs the same Nvidia Tegra 2 SoC as many tablets from its generation, 1GB of RAM and features between 16GB and 64GB of storage space, all packed together with a 10.1-inch screen.

Right now, pricing starts at $479.00 (363 EUR), which makes it just a tad less expensive than Asus’ quad-core Transformer Prime, which already has Android 4.0 running on it (if you don’t encounter that dreaded “serial number not found” issue).
