Lenovo presented us with a series of budget new A-series tablets just last week, but the company appears to be gearing up for to release of a new 10-inch Windows tablet as well, powered by an Intel Atom Bay Trail processor.

Details about the new Lenovo ThinkPad 10 have appeared online on a number of retail websites, although the tech giant has been silent about the slate and the tablet is yet to be announced.

Anyway, TabTech points out that the Lenovo ThinkPad 10 tablet has been unveiled as being in the works as the successor of the ThinkPad Tablet 2 via the company’s leaked road-map.

The new product will join the currently available Lenovo ThinkPad 8 business tablet that so far has received a lot of positive feedback.

According to the newest information, the tablet is expected to arrive on the market pretty soon, which means that we can expect to see it this month. The 10.1-inch device will come with a 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution, the same that we have seen Sony’s latest flagship Xperia Z2 Tablet arrive with.

It appears that the Lenovo ThinkPad 10 could be a candidate device for stylus digitizer support, but so far, there’s no information about what technology Lenovo will end up using.

Other features of the upcoming product include a new and powerful Intel Bay Trail Z3795 quad-core processor with the option of choosing between 2GB or 4GB of RAM.

The particular chip powering the slate is one of the most powerful Atom Bay Trail chips that Intel is going to roll out in the near future. It runs at 1.6GHz with burst speeds up to 2.39GHz.

As for internal storage, there’s also a possibility to choose between 64GB or 128GB, expandable via memory card. The slate is supposed to come with LTE, something that a lot of Lenovo tablet owners have been craving for.

Other drawing points of the tablets are the two cameras (8MP on the back and 2MP front shooter), 33-Whr battery, Bluetooth, fingerprint reader for keeping information safe, smartcard reader, USB 2.0 port and Windows 8.1 Pro.

As you can guess, this is going to be a tablet targeted at business users, so it will certainly come with a hefty price tag.

If we are to believe the listing on the European websites, the prices for the Lenovo ThinkPad 10 will start at €976 / $1,300, but until the company makes an official announcement, we can’t be sure. Nevertheless, the US pricing is likely to vary a little bit.
