As far as Smart TVs go, Samsung and LG are the main names, but Lenovo is also determined to carve out a share of the market.

You'd think Lenovo would be satisfied with its reputation as the fastest growing PC maker, but that's not the case.

The company also eyes other market segments, Smart TVs being the one it most recently made a move in.

Starting on April 10 (2012), the company shall accept pre-orders in China.

The first model will be a 42-incher called K71 and will become available closer to the end of this month. Its price is 6,499 yuan, or $1,030 / 787 Euro.

Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) will be the operating system run by the panel and its successors, which means that common apps will work just fine, not only those from Lenovo's store.

A 1.5GHz dual-core processor will make everything work.
