Lenovo is a PC vendor that has become synonymous with high-quality, portable computer systems designed to meet the requirements of business users. These systems are part of the company's famous line of ThinkPad laptops, which have a couple of distinctive features that have made them a favorite amongst business and professional users. Some of these features have been enabled on the laptop's keyboard, which have now been made available on one of the company's most recent products, one designed for desktop users.

Announced on the company's blog pages, the keyboard has been designed following a survey that was focused on finding out what the users required. According to the blog page, the ThinkPad keyboard has been developed taking into consideration the features on the keyboard of the PC vendor's T400s laptop, including the “supersized” escape and delete keys, alongside the volume and mute buttons, which are said to be among the most used keys on a keyboard. In addition, due to the lack of interest for the built-in touchpad and dedicated numpad, these features haven't been included.

Some of the other features that have been enabled on Lenovo's new ThinkPad keyboard include a spill-resistant design and a simpler cord-storage place, enabling the user to neatly place the cord under the keyboard. There's also a rubber coating on the keyboard's feet, which won't allow the keyboard to slide around the desk.

What's even more important, or so Lenovo claims, is that all of the aforementioned features have enabled the company to provide its customers with a product that will be available for only US$59. This makes the keyboard rather affordable, considering some of the other options currently available on the market. It is now available for order on the company's website with an 11-business-day shipping date.
