The Olympic Games that will be held in China in 2008 are sponsored at the computer hardware department by the Chinese hardware and system manufacturer Lenovo which now tries to capitalize offering a new line of computer systems inspired by the Games.

Coming with silver and black casings, the new Lenovo Olympic Games desktop computer systems will sport the very uninspired commercial names of J200, J200p J205 and S200. The J200p will come equipped with the powerful generation of Intel quad core processors, while the J200 and S200 will feature only dual core Intel CPUs and finally, the J205 will come equipped with an AMD processor, the Athlon 64 dual core 4000+ which runs at a frequency of 2.10GHz and has no less than 1MB of combined second level cache memory. "We've designed our latest Lenovo 3000 desktops with that spirit in mind, displaying the Lenovo Olympic Games composite logo along with a new, stylish design and including the features a small business needs to stay productive like quad core processing technology and excellent management capabilities", said executive director, global desktop marketing management at Lenovo, Dilip Bhatia, who was cited by the news site pcretailmag.

Users selecting one of the new Olympic Games themed desktop computer systems from Lenovo will be able to choose from several operating systems like Microsoft's Windows XP Professional or Windows Vista Home. On the hardware department, all these computers come packed in a standard 4x4 tower and they sport price tags starting from $399. Being designed for office and business use the new line of Lenovo desktops are sadly lacking a discrete graphics card solution as they feature only integrated graphics, while connectivity issues are addressed by the presence of six high speed USB ports as well as a wired networking card which supports the Gigabit Ethernet standard. As additional features, Lenovo's computers will also come with multi format DVD burners as well as hardware based TPM 1.2 data encryption, but that will only be available on certain models. As extended security features go, Lenovo also integrated a chassis intrusion lock and PC lock slot.
