Chinese mobile phone maker Lenovo is getting ready for the launch of a new smartphone on the market in India, and it has already started to send out invitations to a press event set to be held next week, it seems.

According to Gizbot, the company actually plans two such events for the country, one on February 11 in Bangalore, and another on February 12 in New Delhi, but no specific info on what it could launch has been provided.

However, rumor has it that the handset vendor is gearing up for the launch of Vibe Z in India, so as to provide users with an alternative to Samsung’s large Galaxy Note 3 smartphone.

Vibe Z was made official in early January with a large 5.5-inch touchscreen display and with 4G LTE connectivity packed inside. It also features a Snapdragon 800 processor, along with 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel camera, and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean loaded on top.
