Lenovo will soon release a new 10.1-inch tablet, one that doesn't really go out of its way to befuddle anyone.

While the company put in the token effort to make the device more or less good looking, it didn't shove the best hardware inside that shell.

Instead, it settled for an IPS display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution, a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek CPU, 1 GB RAM, 16 GB storage and optional Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0 and a 5-megapixel camera at the back (and a weaker one on the front).

A 6340 mAh battery keeps everything running for some hours (not sure how many).

The name of the device is IdeaTab S6000 and the price is reported to be of $299 / €299.

We can almost see vendors of Tegra 4 slates scrambling to match this offer.
