Following a couple of posts that surfaced yesterday through the company's official Twitter account, PC vendor Lenovo has recently announced the formal introduction of its new IdeaCentre systems. The new lineup includes the company's first home theater PC, the IdeaCentre Q700, its first home server system, the IdeaCentre D400 and its new nettops, the Q100 and Q110. The new products are expected to become available by mid-September, providing customers with a choice for a new home computer system.

“We created our latest IdeaCentre PCs to help consumers manage their personal and professional content with the performance they need and with a style that expresses their individuality,” said Dion Weisler, vice president, Business Operations, Lenovo. “Our super small nettops give consumers the portability of a laptop, making them a versatile and affordable part of the digital home experience.”

Kicking off with the new IdeaCentre Q700, Lenovo's first home theater PC, the system is expected to provide users with support for full HD 1080p graphics and 7.1 digital surround sound. The system is powered by Intel's Core 2 Duo processors and comes with as much as 1TB of storage space. In addition, it also provides users with eight USB ports and an eSATA port, allowing them to connect a number of peripheral devices.

The IdeaCentre D400 has been featured with four drive bays and a number of security features that are meant to provide users with a product that can securely store their digital content. In addition, there are five USB ports, with a front-mounted port that boasts a one-touch data copy function and an eSATA port for faster external data transfer.

The Q100 and Q110 nettops have been designed to provide users with an ultra slim and small desktop computer system featuring an energy efficient design and enhanced multimedia capabilities. From the two, the Q110 has adopted NVIDIA Ion platform, meaning that it has support for DirectX 10 graphics and HD video support.

While the Q700 is already available through the company's business partners or Lenovo's website, the IdeaCentre D400 home server and the Q100 and Q110 nettops are expected to become available in mid-September. The D400 and Q700 start at approximately US$499, while the Q100 and Q110 nettops are priced at US$249 and US$349, respectively.
