Lenovo is attempting to conquer developing markets in Europe, so the company has just released its newly-announced Miix 2 tablet in Romania.

The slate features a friendly form factor and is really light, weighing 350g / 0.77 pounds and being just 8.35mm / 0.32 inches thick. It features an 8-inch WXGA screen with 10-point multi-touch and a resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels.

Under the hood, Lenovo has added the brand new Intel Bay Trail-T quad-core processor based on the Intel Atom S architecture, coupled with 2GB of RAM plus Intel HD Graphics bundled with the Clear Video HD technology for video performance. The tablet comes equipped with two cameras, a 2MP frontal one and 5MP one on the back.

It sports Windows 8.1 out of the box and ships pre-installed with Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013, so users can employ the Miix 2 for both work and play. The new product offers 128GB of storage on eMMC, which can be increased by another 32GB via the SD card.

The tablet can be coupled with a smart stylus or with a detachable lid, designed to protect the screen. The lid can also be used as a support stand for when users are watching videos. With its small frame and powerful specifications, the new Lenovo tablet is definitely worth a shot.
