Lenovo hasn't exactly launched many monitors recently, having, instead, focused on such products as Arrandale-powered notebooks, dual-screen laptops and all-in-one desktops. Now, the company seems to have decided that some variation might come in handy and, as such, has brought forth a set of three new liquid crystal display monitors with high gloss coating and TN panels.

The new line of displays includes the 21.5-inch L2261 Wide, the 23-inch L2361p Wide and the 23.8-inch L2461x Wide. Besides their size, these displays have a variety of differing features, but they also have some things in common, such as the contrast ratio of 1000:1, their use of LED backlighting and their response time of 5ms. The three panels also have the same maximum resolutions, namely Full-HD 1920 x 1080p.

The 21.5-inch monitor is the most modest of the three. Its bezel is 16.9mm thick and the monitor's screen has a brightness of 250 cd/m2. The stand allows for tilt and swivel adjustments. with connectivity capabilities restricted to only D-Sub and DVI inputs.

The L2361p Wide has a wider feature set, even though it shares its sibling's brightness of 250 cd/m2. It is 28.7mm thick and, in addition to D-Sub and DVI, comes with an HDMI 1.3 input and three USB 2.0 ports. Not only that, but the product also integrates a 0.3-megapixel webcam and two 3W speakers.

The third monitor launched by the company is the L2461x Wide. This display has a brightness of 300 cd/m2, but has its own share of similarities with the 23-incher, namely the same D-Sub, DVI and HDMI 1.3 inputs and 3W speakers. This is where the resemblance ends, however, as the 23.8-inch models has four USB ports instead of three and a 2.0-megapixel webcam. Already, the device has distinguished itself from the others, but there is an extra feature that makes it stand out even more, namely multi-touch support.

All three devices come with a one-year warranty, but, so far, only the L2461x Wide has been listed, with a price of roughly $550.
