Windows 7-powered laptops for professional users

Lenovo, one of the world's leading vendors of portable computer systems, and one of the main choices for business professionals, has just released two new laptops, part of the company's famous line of ThinkPad systems. Based on the SL400 and SL500 models, the new SL410 and SL510 have just been announced in China, providing customers with a wide range of configuration options, from processor model to display size, graphics and more. Designed for the professional market segment, the two models will boast the highly anticipated Windows 7 operating system.

According to available details, Lenovo's new SL410 and SL510 will provide users with a choice for a business-ready 14-inch and 15.6-inch machine, offering them some of the unique features that are common on ThinkPad laptops. The two systems will provide a choice for Intel's Core 2 Duo T5870/T6670/P7570 or Celeron 900/T3000/T3100 processors, coupled with up to 4GB of RAM and a maximum 500GB storage capacity, available on a single hard disk drive.

Additional features include a choice for Intel's integrated GMA 4500 graphics chip, or the Mobility Radeon HD 4570 discrete graphics, each one offering a different level of graphics performance, depending on the user's requirements. The two laptops will also pack the usual array of connectivity options, including D-Sub, HMDI and Gigabit Ethernet, and will boast DVD or Blu-Ray drives, multi-touch trackpads, Bluetooth and a starting weight of about 2.3kg.

As mentioned above, the two laptops will be featured with the highly anticipated and appreciated Windows 7 operating system. The SL410 is said to go for a starting price of 5600 Yuan, or approximately US$820, while the pricing on the SL510 is yet to be unveiled. There's no word on when or if the two laptops will be launched in areas outside Asia.
