The slate is not spectacular, but at least is produced by a brand name

I just told you about one of the cheapest tablets being on sale from Office Depot, for a price of $50 / €36. It’s a no-name tablet, but if you still don’t have it in your heart to renounce products coming from brand vendors, you might be in luck.

Amazon is currently offering one of Lenovo’s slate with a price tag below $100 / €73. The Lenovo IdeaTab A1000 features a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. It draws power from an MTK 8317 dual-core Cortex-A9 MCU processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and runs Android 4.1 out of the box.

The OS is quite outdated, but we expect Lenovo to deliver in this department and bring out some updates at a certain point. The slate also bundles 8GB of RAM and offers a battery life of 8 hours.

At the moment, you can grab the slate for $99.95 / €72 as opposed to the previous $129.99 / €95 which gives you 23% discount.
