After telling you about the budget Lenovo IdeaPad Z40 and Z50 this weekend, we have another one for you.

Here is the Lenovo IdeaPad G50, a new notebook that offers good quality and versatility, all wrapped up around a nice price, reports Notebook Italia.

The IdeaPad G50 has been designed as a laptop companion destined for daily activities that will not wipe out your entire bank account. The notebook is also capable of sustaining more demanding workflows and boasts a pretty premium-looking design.

The lappy weighs 2.5 kg / 5.5 pounds, so even if it’s a little bit chunkier than an Ultrabook, it still remains a highly portable device. Its aesthetic features disclose a sober looking machine with a nice keyboard and a finish reminiscent of brushed aluminum.

The G50 has a 15.6-inch display with an unspectacular 1366 x 768 pixel resolution. Under the hood, users get to pick what processor will be living there and options go as far as Intel Core i7 fitted to up to 16GB of RAM.

As we said above, given the processor options, the laptop can be used for multi-tasking activities and will also be able to sustain more demanding operations being performed on it.

In terms of internal storage, Lenovo offers the traditional hard disk drive option, with a capacity of 1TB, which is more than enough for multimedia fans that like to store their movie/music archives on their mobile devices.

Due to the implementation of the dedicated video card AMD Radeon M230 with 2GB of RAM, casual gamers shouldn't have a problem launching and enjoying the latest titles.

The G50 also comes equipped with USB 3.0, USB 2.0, HDMI and VGA video ports, memory card reader 2-in-1 (SD / MMC) and combo audio jack for headphones and microphone.

Like with most Lenovo laptops, the keyboard offers the AccuType feat, which according to the company “flatters keys with a slight inward slope creating a comfortable crevice for your fingertips.”

Other functionalities include a 720p HD webcam, Blu-ray optical drive or DVD, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 10/100 Ethernet and Bluetooth.

Lenovo says the laptop should offer up to 4 hours of battery life as a standard, which is not much, but decent for a budget product such as this. The same applies to the IdeaPad Z40 and Z50, we talked about a few days ago.

The Lenovo IdeaPad G50 hasn't been made available for purchase yet and we don’t have a clear indication when that might happen. However, it will most likely sell for around $400 / €289 making it very wallet-friendly.
