Since Lenovo intends to establish itself in the long term as the greatest PC company in the world, it needs to excel on every layer of the computing market.

On that note, it has decided, reports say, to ship 100 million IT products this year (2013).

That's just part of it though. The really important bit, according to some, is that touch-enabled notebooks will become a major focus.

Glass film film-type (GFF-based) touch panels will be used in its inventions, provided by China-based O-Film and Taiwan-based Youngfast, Jtouch and Mutto Optronics.

Lenovo should announce its mass production target today or tomorrow (May 28-29).

Meanwhile, it will do other things as well, like pursuing the cloud deal with Samsung, selling convertible ultrabooks, and counting the money from the record Fiscal Year and fourth quarter 2013 revenues.
