Lenovo introduced today four new notebooks, as part of the company's IdeaPad lineup. Designed to bring consumers new color alternatives, as well as new features, Lenovo's latest IdeaPad notebooks may be on their way to a successful run, especially given that these new models are based on the recently released Intel Centrino 2 technology.

The company's new notebooks are being offered in number of color choices, including Valencia orange, Indigo blue, Bold black and Crimson red. They have been built with consumer-focused features, such as facial recognition, One-Key Rescue System1, HDMI to connect to the digital world and
Blu-ray optical drive options. With the built-in facial recognition technology, Lenovo users will be able to login to their notebook without any other required password. These feature can easily replace any other password management tool you might have required in the past.

There are two new notebooks, each one coming in a different form factor, namely a 13-inch widescreen IdeaPad U330 and the 14-inch widescreen IdeaPad Y430. Additionally, Lenovo has also released the IdeaPad Y530 and Y730 notebooks which, like the above-mentioned models, are also based on the new Intel Centrino2 technology.

"From San Francisco to Paris to Singapore, customer feedback on our inaugural IdeaPad notebooks has been exceptional," said Stephen DiFranco, Lenovo's vice president and general manager of Americas Consumer, Lenovo. "Our new styles, colors and innovations are all about customers and the ways they express themselves and their ideas." he explained.

The U330 model is part of the company's U series, which is all about expressing ideas with style, according to Lenovo. It features a super-slim, ultra-light design similar to the company's first U model, the U110 notebook. Its 14-inch display is powered by a backlit technology that aims to enhance the user's visual experience.

The Y430 and Y530 have been designed to meet the requirements of most notebook users, being meant for the mainstream market. The last of the new IdeaPads comes to provide consumers with high level of performance, as the one required by gaming users. The notebook incorporates pretty much the same features as all the other models, but can provide a maximum storage capacity of 640GB, with up to two 320GB hot-swappable hard drives.
